The Fast and the Furious move franchise has been a huge financial success at the box office, bringing in billions of dollars worldwide, with the last instalment being one of the biggest grossing films of all time. While some people called for the franchise to come to an end, in honor of the memory of Paul Walker, there was no way that such a huge cash cow was going to get put on the shelf.
It is fair to say that one of the main reasons that Furious 7 made so much money at the box office, was due to the death of Paul Walker and that this was going to be such an emotional movie, saying farewell to the man who helped make the franchise so successful. However, the film still would have made a lot of money regardless, so Fast 8 would surely still have been made.
With that said though, there are already some fans who have voiced their concerns at how Fast 8 is going to work without Paul Walker, with some insisting that it is going to lose all of what has made it so special over the years, leading to a big flop. It is believed that Scott Eastwood will play the role of the brother of Paul Walker's character, but that just will not be the same.
While Paul Walker is going to be a huge loss to Fast 8, and we are sure that the movie will not get anywhere near the same amount as Furious 7, we are also positive that the film will still prove a financial success at the box office, which will lead to Fast and Furious 9 following after. Let's just hope the movie itself is good.
Fast 8 is set to hit the big screen on April 14, 2017 in both the US and the UK.
