It seems that Carlo Ancelotti is taking his role as the new Paris Saint-Germain boss very seriously, as he looks to form a deadly strike force that will torment, not only Ligue 1 defenders but also some of Europe’s top clubs. Carlo Ancelotti is looking to bring in both Fernando Torres from Chelsea, as well as Carlos Tevez from Manchester City, both in the January transfer window.
Ancelotti explained, “There is a lot of choice for this January market. Do you want the names? OK, now I tell you the players the agents are offering on the market, officially or not: Carlos Tevez, Fernando Torres, Dimitar Berbatov, Roman Pavlyuchenko, Edinson Cavani, Fernando Llorente.” And Carlo could get both Torres and Tevez at a cut price fee.
It is believed that Chelsea are willing to cut their losses on Fernando Torres and accept any offers in the region of £20m, despite the fact that they spent £50m on bring him to Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, it is believed that Manchester City could be willing to let want away striker Carlos Tevez leave for around £25m. Not a bad piece of business for two strikers who have both been considered the best in the business.
