The movie adaptation of erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey has been surrounded by rumours.

There's no doubt that the movie is already set to be an equal commercial smash as the books, even though plot changes, cast and crew line-ups have yet to be confirmed.
The rumours are swirling around about those matters now, and The Hollywood Reporter are reporting that actress Shailene Woodley is the favoured choice of the book's author EL James to play the main role in the film, Anastasia Steele.
Shailene's biggest role so far came playing George Clooney's character's daughter in 'The Descendants' last year, so she is not yet very well known. However, if she took this role it would be sure to take her to another level of fame.

'Twilight' producer Marty Bowen agrees, saying "The next big stars are the actress who plays Anastasia Steele and the actor who plays Christian Grey. They will certainly have an invitation to the A-list table."
The reports come a couple of weeks after 'Harry Potter' actress Emma Watson distanced herself from rumours that she'd in fact be taking on the role. "I haven't read the book, I haven't read a script, nothing."

Emma told Entertainment Weekly. "There are so many movies you become attached to when I've literally never even received a phone call. It was the same way with The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - I never even saw a script!"
