After months of speculation regarding who will be cast in the erotic film adaptation of hit novel Fifty Shades of Grey, we are now hearing rumours that fans could be in for quite a shock.
The same names have been cropping up time and time again for the roles of super rich CEO Christian Grey and shy college graduate Anastasia Steele. Ryan Gosling, Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are among the popular choices for the handsome and troubled Christian, while Emma Watson, Lucy Hale and Kristen Stewart have remained firm favourites for his lover, Ana.
So if the producers aren't going to go with the favourites, who might they be interested in casting? Well, Chad Michael Murray of One Tree Hill fame is one of the names we've been hearing, and he certainly has the looks for the part. At 31, Michael is a little older than Christian, but not by much. We don't think Ian Somerhalder will be very happy with this news though, as he has made no secret of the fact that he is desperate for the part, even starting his own campaign!
And as for Ana, one surprising name being thrown around is country singer Taylor Swift, and come to think of it, we think she could fit the part perfectly (if she dyed her hair!) Although she is famous for her incredible singing success, she isn't a stranger to the world of acting. In 2010 she took on a minor role in Valentines Day. Earlier this year, ET online asked Taylor if she planned on acting again anytime soon. She replied: 'I hope so. I've been reading scripts for years and there's never been anything that fit my schedule that I also loved. So if those two things could happen, I would love to be in a movie.'
So maybe Taylor has finally found a role she is willing to dedicate herself to. Leona Lewis certainly thinks she would be good for the role, stating recently that she would chose Taylor to portray Ana and Chris Brown for Christian. Erm, we're not sure about Chris Brown but we could certainly get on board with Taylor!
