Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has revealed how the band are honoured to have won the Best Rock Album Grammy Award for their record Wasting Light, as the album is very special to the band. Dave revealed how Foo Fighters recorded the whole of Wasting Light from a garage and, although it is not a perfect album, it does give a human side to their record.
Grohl explained, "This is a great honour because this record was a special record for our band. We made this one in our garage. To me this award means a lot because it shows that the human element of making music is what's most important.” Dave continued by adding, "It's not about being perfect. It's not about sounding absolutely correct."
The Foo Fighters won an impressive five Grammy Awards including Best Rock Song, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance. The band were only outdone by Adele, who equalled the record for the amount of Grammy’s won by a female solo artist in one night, which is six and was previously won by Beyoncé back in 2010.
