For the last 9 years, Joe Budden has been trying to measure up to the success he once had with his 2003 debut album, which sold approximately 97,000 units in its first week of release.
His second album named “Padded Room” was released in 2009 and sold 13,451 copies in its first week. Many people in the entertainment industry had high expectations for this CD. The New York Times gave the rap album a favorable review, and IGN gave it 8.2/10. It was widely promoted, but its success was less than moderate.
The third album named "Slaughterhouse" was released in 2009 and managed to sell approximately 28,000 copies in its first three weeks. This album was different than the rest, because it was a debut album for his hip hop group, which he managed to create and be part of. It peaked at number 25 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. To this date, it has sold less than 50,000 copies.
The fourth and most recent album from Joe Budden is named “No Love Lost”. This album features guest appearances from Lil Wayne, Fabolous, Lloyd Banks and many other famous hip hop artists. To this date, it has sold less than 100,000 copies. It did sell better than the last two, so let’s hope that with his 2014 album, which will be named “All Love Lost”, Mr. Budden can finally have the success the he's been craving for almost a decade.
