Friendly Fires would rather listen to Timberlake over Morrissey

Alternative dance band Friendly Fires have admitted that they would much prefer to listen to Justin Timberlake over Morrissey. The revelation comes after the band stated that their new material sounds more poppy than their self titled debut album.

'Live Those Days Tonight’ is the 1st single to be released from their new album ‘Pala’ which is due to be released on May 16th in the UK and May 24th in the US. The band declared that the new album was heavily inspired by acts such as Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC.

Ed Macfarlane, frontman of Friendly Fires, spoke to NME about the possibility of losing credibility with the new sound "I've never understood that kind of mindset. I'd much rather listen to a Justin Timberlake record than a Morrissey record with clever lyrics and tried and tested guitar tunes” he said.
