When it was first announced that we were finally going to see Wonder Woman appearing on the big screen, there were millions of delighted comic book fans around the world, all eager to see one of their favourite characters done right. This led to fans giving their own opinions and suggestions as to which actress should play the role, before it was announced that Gal Gadot would be Wonder Woman.
There was a lot of criticism over Gal Gadot being cast as Wonder Woman, with many not even giving the actress a chance before slating her and demanding someone else take her place. However, Gal did not let the critics get to her and she kept working away, before making her debut in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, where she was actually one of the few positives about the movie.
One of the pleasing things about the film was the Gal Gadot Wonder Woman costume, which looks like being the same one to be used in the Wonder Woman standalone movie, although there has been some talk of the costume changing for the Justice League films. It will be interesting to see what changes they decide to make to the Wonder Woman costume and we are sure the fans will have their own opinions.
The Wonder Woman standalone movie is set to hit the big screen on June 2, 2017, before Justice League: Part One opens on November 17, 2017, and then Justice League: Part Two lands on June 14, 2019. We just hope that all three are better than the awful Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
