Two fandoms that you never thought would collide: Game of Thrones and Family Guy. Although, to be fair, both fanbases are wide-reaching and have excellent taste in television, if in completely different genres. Now, there are rumors spreading (and pretty much confirmed) that Game of Thrones actress Emilia Clarke and Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane are dating.
Witnesses place both of them sitting close together and eating together at the Emmy HBO after-party (HBO is cable network behind Game of Thrones and is also considered a hotspot for stars right after the Emmys). Throughout the party, witnesses also report that MacFarlane frequently put his arm around Clarke shoulders or draped his arm around her waist, and Clarke didn’t seem to mind at all. In fact, she apparently seemed to enjoy it.
Later, both MacFarlane and Clarke were seen leaving the party together, and pictures were released today of both of them hugging each other and pretty much confirming their status as a couple. What do you think of this new coupling? It’s definitely a power couple in the television world, as Clarke’s Game of Thrones has been dominating television screens since it first debuted two years ago, and MacFarlane has established himself as a powerhouse in the comedy world, first with Family Guy and then with his international and domestic hit ‘Ted’ over this past summer.
