Following the huge global success of the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones, we have been given a new wave of British acting talent, who are beginning to make some big moves on the Hollywood scene. The television show has paved the way for many of its stars to make the move into big screen blockbusters, which is exactly what they are doing.
The actor that has made the most of their Game of Thrones fame so far would have to be Kit Harington, who has already appeared in a number of big screen movies, with more lined up for the future. Meanwhile though, Emilia Clarke is also beginning to position herself as a Hollywood leading lady, especially after landing her role as Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genesis.
Emilia Clarke plays the role of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, impressing fans and critics alike. She has since gone on to have a couple of small movie roles, as well as appearing on the stage, which did not exactly receive the highest of praise from anyone.
However, landing the role of Sarah Connor in Terminator: Genesis is her biggest role to date and will throw up a number of interesting questions about Emilia Clarke. There is no doubt that Emilia will have to show off some sort of fighting skills as Sarah Connor, as well as having to give us her best American accent. If Terminator: Genesis goes on to be a huge success then Emilia Clarke will become a global superstar. If the film flops, she will still have Game of Thrones to fall back.
Terminator: Genesis begins filming this month and will hit the big screen on July 1, 2015.
