66 year old British actor Patrick Malahide has signed up to star in the second season of the hit HBO fantasy drama Game of Thrones. There have been a whole host of new stars signing on for the second season as Game of Thrones plans to introduce more characters.
Patrick is set to star in the show as Balon Greyjoy, the father of Theon Greyjoy from the first season. Balon is also the leader of the Iron Islands. As well as joining the ever growing new cast members, Malahide will also be joining those lucky enough to survive the first season.
Other new faces set to appear in Game of Thrones season two are Gwendoline Christie, Gemma Whelan and Michael McElhatton. The familiar faces will include Emilia Clarke, Kit Harington and Roxanne McKee. Game of Thrones season two is expected to premiere on HBO in April.
