The hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones has been running since 2011 and we have seen British actress Emilia Clarke going from a relatively unknown name, to becoming one of the biggest stars on the face of the Earth. However, when most people think about Emilia, they instantly see the actress as her Game of Thrones character, with the long blonde hair, despite the fact she is actually a brunette.
For the last seven seasons of Game of Thrones, we have seen Emilia Clarke playing the role of Daenerys Targaryen, but wearing a specially made blonde wig. Now though, Emilia has taken to her official Instagram account to share a picture of herself finally going full Daenerys, by dying her hair blonde for the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.
Along with the picture, Clarke shared the caption, "AAAAHHHHHHH SHHHHIIIII****** I done did it. Mother of dragons meet Emilia. Emilia meet mother of dragons. If you squint just so you might never know. All hail to the magnificence of @kevalexanderhair and @candicebanks74 the genius creators of 'KHALEESI WIG' (and not forgetting all the hair on game of thrones for 8 glorious years) for at long last making this magical moment a reality. #khaleesikicksoff #gameofthrones #cominghomeneverfeltsogood (sic)."
This will certainly come as welcome news for those involved with the wig making on Game of Thrones, as it has previously been revealed how it takes a long time to create them, so that is one less thing for them to worry about.
