Game of Thrones actor Jason Momoa has revealed that he has never seen the original Conan the Barbarian movie because his version is not a remake, rather a reboot. Jason is set to play the title character Conan, which was made famous in the 80s by Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Momoa explained, “I don’t really think it’s filling his shoes. We’re not remaking it.” He then added, “It’s a reboot of the franchise in the vein of Bond or Batman. With no disrespect to Arnold, I haven’t seen his version yet - I wanted to see mine first!”
Jason also revealed the difficulties involved with the movie, he continued, “The day I got crushed by a horse was the worst [day of filming]. I stopped that day, went straight to the trailer, and started drinking scotch.” Conan the Barbarian is due to be released in the US on August 19 and the UK on August 26.
