Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that Spurs’ Welsh winger Gareth Bale is as good as the world’s two best players, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Football fans around the world continue to debate who is better between Ronaldo and Messi but Harry believes that Bale should be mentioned in the same breath.

Redknapp explained, “He's an amazing, amazing talent and he's after the Ronaldo's and Messi's of this world and he's getting better and better. He's almost unplayable when he's on his game. He is a genuine world-class player. There's nobody he couldn't play for. He'd improve any team.”
Gareth Bale has so far scored all of Wales’ goals in 2012, taking his international scoring tally to 9. Gareth also put in a match winning performance for Wales against Scotland, which turned the game and earned his country the much needed win.

Redknapp added, “It was amazing how he turned the game around. With 10 minutes to go you're looking for somebody who can do something special and Gareth can do something special. He can do everything and could play anywhere. He's the full package.”
He continued, "He can head it, he can dribble, he can shoot, he's got a great physique, he's an amazing athlete, he can score with both feet - there are no weaknesses in his game. He is already at the top but any team in the world would love to have Gareth Bale playing for them. And he is a great lad as well with a good family behind him. It couldn't happen to a nicer lad.”
Gareth Bale is currently contracted to Tottenham Hotspur until 2015 but it will be surprising if they can hang on to him for that long, as the big guns of Europe, including Real Madrid and Barcelona, come sniffing round.
