Gary Oldman praises Michael Caine in The Dark Knight Rises
British actor Gary Oldman has praised his fellow British actor Michael Caine for his performance in the forthcoming Batman movie The Dark Knight Rises, which they are both set to appear in. Gary has revealed that there is an emotional scene which will appear in The Dark Knight Rises, which involves Michael Caine and that Michael was such a great professional and hit the nail on the head every single time.
Oldman explained, “There’s an emotional scene coming up in the next Batman, which I am obviously, absolutely sworn to secrecy about… They would kill me. Well, I’d do the press junket and then they’d kill me. Watching Michael Caine work, as Alfred, was a great lesson for me. Just focus, concentration.
He added, “He has this emotional scene. I’m kidding you not. It was tears and the whole thing. And it’s Take 1. He got it. Take 2 Got it. Take 3 Got it. He’s just on the money. Every single time.” You can see both Gary Oldman and Michael Caine reprising their roles from the previous two Batman movies, when The Dark Knight Rises is released on July 20, 2012.
