Geena Davis proves that fame is ever-changing. Davis is an American actress, writer, film producer and fashion model. Her body of starring roles included great films like The Accidental Tourist, A League of Their Own and the classic Thelma & Louise. Her work in television and film is only outshines, the unusual life and talents that are uniquely Geena Davis.
Geena Davis surprised the world at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia. Where she was a semi-finalist in archery. This timely trek into athletics is still a moment of controversy, but Davis takes it in stride. She showed off her mad archery skills once more in August 2013, as the star of a new Funny or Die viral comedy video. In the video Geena Davis mocks the paparazzi, but also the Hunger Games and Brave movies while claiming she was their inspirations.
In September 2013, Geena Davis reunited with Susan Sarandon for the 22 years later celebration of the film Thelma & Louise. Both ladies were celebrity royalty for a day, having the red carpets rolled out for them in Los Angeles. They attended a women's charity event sponsored by Heifer International, but the big event was being interviewed by the Huffington Post. This was an extension of the work Davis already has been doing with The Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media since 2007.
Unfortunately, Geena Davis has been less happy with her media coverage of late. She and actress Katey Sagal have entered into media hijinks. When being interviewed by Andy Cohen on Bravo, Katey Sagal was asked what Geena Davis smelled like. Her reply was, "Oh please. Who is this nobody Geena Davis?" The actresses did meet on The Geena Davis Show during 2001, but Katey Sagal stuck with her story. Davis reportedly is greatly offended, being quite public about her feelings. Poor Geena.
