It was quite possibly one of the biggest shocks in celebrity hook ups recent history when it was revealed that Spice Girl singer Geri Halliwell was dating funnyman Russell Brand. Many people were convinced that it had to be some sort of prank as Geri does not exactly seem like Russell Brand's typical type.
Now, Geri has spoken out about her relationship with Russell, claiming that she is quite picky when it comes to the opposite sex. Halliwell explained to Metro, “Yes. It’s been a whirlwind. All I want is to be in a loving relationship. Is he my ideal man? I’m choosy. I want someone who’s trustworthy, sweet and kind.”
However, it appears that the relationship has started to cool down a bit as things were beginning to move a little bit faster than Geri had anticipated. Insiders suggest that Halliwell was a little taken aback by the intensity of Brands spirituality and intelligence.
Meanwhile, Geri Halliwell’s Spice Girls bandmate Melanie C admitted that she was surprised by the revelation and claimed that she would be questioning her about the rumours. “I am sure they are just friends. I’ll have to quiz her on that one,” she said.
