Those who have followed the path of the One Direction boys from day one will remember how Zayn Malik walked off the stage during the bootcamp stage of his time on The X Factor, only for Simon Cowell to convince him to see it through. Zayn has always seemed to be the one who has struggled the most and it was no surprise when it was announced that he was the first to quit the boyband.
Since then, Zayn Malik has gone solo and has been enjoying success at the start of his solo career but he still has his struggles and his battles, which once again came to the surface at the weekend. Zayn pulled out of a gig just minutes before he was due on stage, apologising to his fans and revealing his battle with anxiety. Now, his girlfriend Gigi Hadid has sent a message of support to her boyfriend.
Hadid took to her official Twitter account to say, "Z – I've seen the battles you go through and the way you fight to get to a place that allows you to get up there for your fans. Your bravery in those times makes me proud, but your honesty last night proved what you're all about, being real. Human recognises human."
She added, "You made the best of the situation and have given your fans an opportunity to understand you better as a performer. Those who can find compassion now are the ones who deserve to watch you continue to grow. We are all here to support you and make each experience easier. Your talent and good heart will never lead you wrong. Love you and so proud of you always :) G."
Keep your chin up, Zayn. We are all still in full support of you!
