Back in 2009, MMA star Gina Carano decided to walk away from the sport and pursue a career in acting, following her loss to Cris Cyborg, and she has not been involved in any form of MMA since. However, there has been constant talk of her possibly one day making a return to MMA and the past few weeks have seen these rumours really begin to heat up.
Now it looks like Gina Carano is dead set on making her return to MMA and she is looking to meet with UFC president Dana White at some point this week to discuss her options. While some people have been making their own suggestions as to why Gina wants to make a return, she has now opened up to reveal the real reason behind her decision.
Carano was recently on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, when she said, "I've never gone into fight actually feeling at my top form. That's something I really want to experience." She also recently told The Arsenio Hall Show, "It's kind of being discussed right now. It's something that I always loved to do and it's such a genuine expression for me. I wouldn’t say that unless I was actually thinking about making a comeback possibly."
While we are still waiting on any official word about the Gina Carano MMA comeback, it is believed that she will go head to head with current UFC star Ronda Rousey, who has been eager to get Gina into the octagon. Ronda is the current bantamweight champion and Carano would definitely need to be in to form.
