Our Girl of the Day section usually focuses on models that some of you might not have heard of or who are just beginning to make a name for themselves in the modelling industry but, for today we have decided to change it just a little bit. Our Girl of the Day for today is the experienced veteran model Manon von Gerkan, who was a very big model in her time and has been in the modelling game since the early 90s.

She has also walked in fashion shows for Carolina Herrera, Angela Missoni, Barbara Bui, Industria, Laura Biagiotti, Marina Spadafora, Moschino, Rena Lange, Salvatore Ferragamo, Erreuno, Gianfranco Ferré, and Vandervorst.

Manon von Gerkan is Girl of the Day
While all of that is hugely impressive, we think that the biggest and best achievements in Manon von Gerkan's modelling career, would have to be appearing in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue in 1995 and 1996. As well as that, Manon has also tried her hand at acting, appearing in movies such as A Nero Wolfe Mystery, and Shallow Hal.
Not a bad career for anyone, to say the least, and we have enjoyed watching the career of Manon von Gerkan over the years.
