Today with our Girl of the Day we are going to do something a little bit different, as we are not going to focus on a model who is currently in the prime of her career but we are instead going to look back at someone who enjoyed a very long and successful career in modelling. Spanish beauty Helena Barquilla is still working a little bit in the modelling industry but it is fair to say that she enjoyed her best years back in the 1990s.

During the course of her modelling career, we saw Helena Barquilla modelling in a number of different advertisements for the likes of Armand Basi, Bill Blass, Bloomingdale's, Chacok, Christian Dior, Claude Montana, El Corte Inglés, Escada, Gap, Hanae Mori, Katharine Hamnett, Mango, Manuel Piña, Prada, and Saks Fifth Avenue, while she also appeared on the cover of magazines such as S Moda, woman, Madame Figaro Spain, and Vogue Germany.
Meanwhile, we have also seen Helena Barquilla walking in fashion shows for A Menos Cuarto, Ángela Arregui, Antonio Miró, Antonio Pernas, Christian Dior, Claude Montana, Devota & Lomba, Gianfranco Ferré, Guillermina Baeza, Isabel Berz, Javier Larrainzar, John Galliano, Jordi Cuesta, Krizia, Lolita Lempicka, Palacio & Lemoniez, Pierre Balmain, Purificación García, Roberto Verino, Sonia Rykiel, Veva Medem, Vivienne Westwood, Yves Saint Laurent, and Nina Ricci.

While she might not be in the prime of her modelling career, we do still love to see what Helena Barquilla is up to these days and we have to admit that she still looks as beautiful today as she ever has done.
