There has been a mixed reaction to the news that Grant Gustin will play Barry aka The Flash in Arrow season two, as some fans feel that he is too young for the role. Now, Grant has spoken about playing the role, admitting that he too was worried that he might be a bit too young to actually be cast, before confirmation of his casting was made.
Grant Gustin will play The Flash
Gustin told E! Online, "We're going to see Barry Allen first in two episodes and then he'll come back later as The Flash. I'm a little fanboy - I'm so excited to be a part of the show. I got an audition and I was really excited and a little skeptical at first, because I'm a comic book fan. I know the character and know I'm a little young."
Some fans have voiced their concern that The CW will allow a change to the costume of The Flash but Grant says that he has heard that it will be "in a pretty traditional Flash costume", adding, "That's kind of what I've caught wind of."
The Flash could get his own series
You will get to see Grant Gustin as Barry Allen aka The Flash in Arrow season 2, which premieres on The CW on October 9, with the new season airing at a later date in the UK. It is also expected that The Flash will then go on to have his own series on The CW.
