Comic book movie fans are possibly more excited about the Guardians of the Galaxy movie, than they have ever been about any comic book movie before. Parks and Recreation actor Chris Pratt will play Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy and he has spoken about what fans can expect from Rocket Raccoon when the film opens.
Pratt explained, "You think it's a cartoon character, but it's not, it's a very real creature, Rocket has been tortured his whole life and no-one else likes him, so he's lonely and he's angry and there are all these elements to the character. You sort of forget about that, you wouldn't think about that, and hopefully it will come to life."
He added, "I think it will and that's why they hired a really good actor to do the role. I could not be more excited that Bradley Cooper is voicing Rocket Raccoon - it's a great character. It's probably the best character in the movie, just because it's not what you would expect."
As well as starring Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper, Guardians of the Galaxy will also star Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro, John C Reilly and Glenn Close. Guardians of the Galaxy opens on August 1, 2014 in both the US and the UK.
