While the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already huge and dominating anything and everything in the world of the comic book movies, it seems that they are still just scratching the surface of what they want to achieve with their big screen adaptations. Disney Chairman and CEO Robert Iger has spoken about their plans for the future, admitting there are bigger and better things ahead.
Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana star in the movie

One of the projects that Marvel are most excited about is the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy and it seems that they have high hopes for the project. Robert says that Guardians of the Galaxy will take fans to another realm and hopes that the movie can go on to become as big as The Avengers.

Iger explained, "In addition to that, we've got a new film, Guardians of the Galaxy coming out August 1 in the United States this summer, which we've seen, I mentioned in my comments. We feel quite good about that too. That's a whole other Marvel realm or universe in terms of where it takes place, the characters that populate it and the stories that you can tell for those characters. So, I think, I'm not going to predict that we've got another Avengers on our hands, but that's certainly the goal."
