It sometimes feels like there is no end to the amount of comic book movies that we are getting on a yearly basis, with a number of new films being released over the course of the coming year and well beyond. It was recently announced that Marvel have got plans that stretch as far as 2028, which means we will be seeing a lot more comic book characters hitting the big screen in time.

Guardians of the Galaxy is on the way
One of the new and exciting Marvel movies that is coming our way this year is the film Guardians of the Galaxy, which has a lot of fans very excited. While we are eager to see what they have come up with for Guardians of the Galaxy, we are also keen to see how the movie will link into previous Marvel films and future Marvel projects.
Director James Gunn is the man responsible for helming the Guardians of the Galaxy movie and he has been talking about what fans can expect from the project. James says that Guardians of the Galaxy will definitely link into the planned The Avengers 3 film, "[Guardians of the Galaxy] is definitely connected to Avengers 3," he told Entertainment Weekly.

Guardians of the Galaxy has a hugely impressive all-star cast which includes Lee Pace, Bradley Cooper, Karen Gillan, Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Laura Haddock, Benicio Del Toro, John C. Reilly, Michael Rooker, Dave Bautista, Djimon Hounsou and Glenn Close. Guardians of the Galaxy will hit the big screen on August 1 in both the US and the UK.
