Emma Watson is currently promoting her new movie ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ through various venues, and she talks about her upcoming movies with MTV. Watson has talked previously about how Warner Brothers (who she has a previous relationship with through the Harry Potter series) sent her a script for an adaption of Beauty and The Beast, and how she took it to Guillermo Del Toro as a potential directing project and partnership.
Watson mentions that she was worried that he may have forgotten about the project since it had been a while since they met and discussed it, but that she met him recently and that he seems as invested as ever. She says, ““We [del Toro and I] met a week or two ago, and we started working on the script, and it’s going to go next summer. It’s so funny, obviously I’ve been doing a lot of other work, and I was nervous. I was like, ‘Is this going to go away?’ And Guillermo is so psyched about it, and he’s like been thinking about it so much. He brought the book,” Watson continued, referencing the director’s sketchbooks in which he writes and expands on his ideas. “I was like, ‘Ah, this is killing me.’ I’m very excited.”
