Singer Gwen Stefani has opened up about the differences between being in No Doubt and going off on her own for a solo career. Gwen says that, while she was off doing her solo thing, she was a different person and that being in No Doubt is who she really is.

Stefani explained to Vogue, “I did the solo thing, but I felt like I was trying to play a character in a way, this Alice in Wonderland pretend version of myself. But this, being in No Doubt, is really who I am.”
She then went on to say, “Time kind of stops when you're in a band. It's this suspended childhood, and it's really awesome, that part of it. But then when you have a family of your own, it forces you to go into the adult world a little bit more.”

It is difficult to see how much longer No Doubt can keep going, considering how disappointing their comeback has been so far. Their latest album Push and Shove only managed to reach Number 16 in the album chart, while their comeback single Settle Down only managed to get to Number 85. Meanwhile the latest single Looking Hot has only managed to shift 680 copies in its first week.
