English actress Gwendoline Christie needs to shock the movie audiences now that she has made a connection with them through the television series "Game of Thrones". Many of her fans view her as a fierce, androgynous warrior and it is great that she received her role in this series in large part due to her tall, muscular physique. However, the next step in the development of her acting career which will allow her to become a television and movie leading lady is to now show the world that she can play both the romantic, sensual woman and a woman who can act in a modern day drama.
Gwendoline Christie made the first step toward changing the perception that Hollywood producers and directors may have of her by appearing at the 2014 Golden Globes Award banquet where casting agents, producers and directors could see her absent the body armour that she wears while playing the role of Brienne of Tarth on the Game of Thrones.
The next step that Gwendoline Christie needs to make in her career is to find a role in which she can play a strong woman, for example as a police officer or a criminal similar to that played by Kate Nauta in the "Transporter 2" movie, a female criminal who showed her female attributes and yet was a ruthless killer.
If Gwendoline Christie is able to find a role in 2014 that expands her profile from that of a female warrior who tries to hide the fact that she is a woman to a role which instead embraces the fact that she is a woman who happens to be tall, strong, attractive and intelligent she can move from supporting actress status to feature actress in Hollywood.
