Gwyneth Paltrow is an A-list actress, sure. She's won many awards for her performances, including an Oscar for 'Shakespeare in Love'. However, since then, she's only really had mainstream success in the 'Iron Man' movies, and these days is known more for her other activities than acting.
After having her kids with singer Chris Martin, Paltrow has started dabbling in her own blog, her own clothing line, writing cookbooks, and starting her own gym. Now, she has reportedly started to take up another endeavor: opening her own restaurant....in LA.
Star Magazine reports that an inside tells them “She’s talking with her good friend, chef Mario Batali, about opening a place that specializes in Spanish cuisine. She wants to have a place where she can entertain her L.A. friends.”
Star is reporting that it was Batalli who 'pushed' her towards her 'culinary dreams'. “He gave her the confidence to take it to the next level and start thinking of concepts and locations. It will be a huge ego boost for her to be a restaurant owner.”
On one hand, it is absolutely believable that Gwyneth Paltrow will want to diversify her already diversified brand image. On the other hand, can she simply handle starting any more business ventures? In addition to all her existing ventures, she’s currently shooting Iron Man 3, and starting a business takes a lot of hard work and dedication.
