Hollywood actress Hailee Steinfeld has become one of the most sought after young stars in the industry in recent years, with a number of projects in the works. Next up for Hailee is the role of Juliet, alongside Douglas Booth's Romeo, in Romeo and Juliet, and Hailee has spoken about her chemistry with Douglas.
During an interview with Collider, Steinfeld explained, "We were really comfortable with each other [after spending a couple of weeks together in Italy]. As actors, we have great chemistry. It was important for us to have that for the story to be impactful."
While her chemistry with Douglas was clearly comfortable, she does admit that the costumes were less so, "The only reason I say they were uncomfortable is that they never really cooperated with the weather. They were so beautiful. Even if they are uncomfortable, the way they are structured really has an impact on how you play the role. It is so helpful," she added.
As well as starring Hailee Steinfeld and Douglas Booth, Romeo and Juliet also stars Damien Lewis, Stellan Skarsgard and Ed Westwick among the impressive cast. Romeo and Juliet is directed by Carlo Carlei and opens on October 11 in both the US and the UK.
