It seems that Gavin Hood is having no trouble in setting up an all star cast for his latest movie, the big screen adaptation of the classic science fiction novel, Ender’s Game. Gavin has already got young Hugo actor, Asa Butterfield, signed up to play the lead role of Ender Wiggin and now it seems that Hood is homing in on another young star, as he aims to sign up True Grit actress, Hailee Steinfeld as Petra Arkanian.
These two up and coming future Hollywood stars are bound to draw in a decent crown on their own. However, Gavin Hood is not finished there. Gavin wants to get even more Hollywood stars on board for Ender’s Game and it has been rumoured that Harrison Ford could be set to join the cast, as one of the main characters, in the coming weeks.
Ender’s Game is set 70 years after an all out, horrific war after an alien invasion. A young boy with a unusual and special gift is sent away to one of the most advanced military schools around, in space, to prepare himself for a future alien invasion. Not only is Ender’s Game directed by Gavin Hood but he also penned the screenplay for the movie, which is expected to be released on March 15, 2013.
