It appears that the former child star Haley Joel Osment is set to make his big screen movie comeback in the coming years. Haley has two films currently in post production but he is set to star in the leading role in next year’s Wake the Dead.
Haley first hit the big screen, when he appeared as the son of Tom Hanks in the 1994 classic movie Forrest Gump. Osment then made a big name for himself after his outstanding performance alongside Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense. This led to him starring in the big budget flop A.I. Artificial Intelligence, which began the demise of his career.
Over the past few years, Haley Joel Osment has been doing mostly voice over work, as well as the odd small movie here and there. However, he could be set to make a return to the big time after being cast in the leading role for the Frankenstein reinterpretation Wake the Dead.
Wake the Dead centres around two young medical students who begin to find themselves falling into doing evil, as they attempt to bring the dead back to life. Wake the Dead is written and directed by Jay Russell and is expected to be released next year. At the age of just 23, Haley Joel Osment could be set for a Hollywood comeback.
