It is widely believed that The Hangover Part II could be set to make over $100million (£61.8million) during its opening weekend in the US this week. It is expected that the comedy sequel to the hit 2009 movie The Hangover is likely to be the first movie to break the $100million barrier in its opening weekend.

Last weekend the swashbuckling adventure Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stanger Tides raked in an estimated $90.1million (£55.7million) during its opening weekend. That was the biggest US opening of 2011 but it seems like that record is going to be short lived.
If The Hangover Part II does manage to succeed in breaking the $100million opening, it will be the first R rated movie ever to do so. There is still speculation that the film will not be released on time due to the current ongoing court case. It should be released on May 26th but that still remains to be seen.
