When it comes to casting a major role in a huge Hollywood franchise, you are never going to be able to please everyone, especially when it comes to casting a comic book movie. However, it seems that Warner Bros. and DC have failed to please many people at all, with the news that Ben Affleck will play Batman in Batman vs. Superman.
One person who is looking forward to seeing what Ben Affleck brings to the role, is Hans Zimmer, who scored all The Dark Knight trilogy movies, as well as the Man of Steel film. Hans says that he thinks Ben was a good piece of casting and has what it takes to succeed in the role.
Zimmer told Red Carpet News, "I actually think it’s a really good choice, because #1 he’s a great filmmaker. He’s smart. He wouldn’t have taken it if he had set himself up for a fall. And, you know, he’s a bit older these days and that’s what we need, and he’s got a good chin."
It is not yet known whether Hans Zimmer will return to score Batman vs. Superman, although we expect that he will be given first refusal. Ben Affleck will face off again Henry Cavill, who will reprise his role as Superman for the Batman vs. Superman movie, which will open in 2015.
