Although almost every male actor under the age of 30 has been mentioned as a possibility for the role of Christian Grey in the upcoming film adaptation of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, one person that hasn’t been mentioned until now is Harry Styles. Although Styles is a singer, not an actor, there had been previous reports that Styles was looking to get into acting and would be interested if the right role came along.
Now, in an interview with The Sun, Styles has admitted that although he hasn’t read the book, a female friend forced him to read it to her the other day. He said, “"I haven't bought it, but a female friend of mine was forcing me to read it out to her the other day. They were like, 'Just borrow this', and I was like, 'Hmmm”.
He adds, “"It seems interesting. I could probably learn from it, I don't know. I feel like it's an educational and interesting read." Is there a reason he suddenly seems to picking up interest in these books, or is it just to see what the fan interest is about? One thing is for certain – if Styles is interested in the role, there would be a lot of teen girls suddenly interested in seeing a movie that is almost certain to gain an R rating at the cinemas.
Harry Styles was recently in the news for not returning Emma Watson's tweet, which she mentioned she was very 'hurt' over (http://www.fansshare.com/news/emma-watson-was-really-hurt-that-harry-styles-didn-t-tweet-her-back/)
