While it is fair to say that there are a lot more roles available to women in Hollywood these days, and that there are a lot of interesting roles coming their way more recently, it is still a very male dominated industry, with most of the bigger and better roles being aimed at the men in Hollywood. This has clearly not gone down too well with some actresses in Hollywood.
Actress Heather Graham has been in the acting industry for 30 years now and the star has been involved in a lot of projects along the way, playing some interesting roles in her career. However, Heather has now spoken out about the sexism in Hollywood, admitting that something needs to change in order to give women better roles in the future.
Graham features in Esquire magazine where she explains, "I'm not saying the movie business isn't sexist. It's totally sexist. If you look at all the movies being made these days, eighty percent of them are about men."
The 44-year-old actress then went on to add, ''There's not much I can do about it. It's a sexist world and a sexist industry. But I've been very lucky as an actress, to work as much as I have and as consistently as I have."
As far as her own acting career goes, Heather Graham will appear in the upcoming television movie Petals of the Wind, which will premiere on Lifetime on May 26. Following that Heather will star in the movie My Dead Boyfriend, which is currently filming and will open sometime in the coming year or so. Finally, Graham will make an appearance alongside Selena Gomez in Behaving Badly, which hits the big screen this August.
