Fans were delighted when it was announced that there was a Superman reboot coming but, before Man of Steel hit the big screen in 2013, there were a lot of fans who had a lot of issues about a lot of the decisions made. The first complaint was that Henry Cavill was cast as Superman, although the actor eventually won fans over, while the second issue was the costume.
Zack Snyder and the costume department for Man of Steel decided to do away with the red pants of the Superman costume, which made a lot of fans very angry and, while Man of Steel was considered a success, the fans were still annoyed by the costume change. So then, it will be interesting to see what these fans think of the new Superman costume for Batman vs. Superman.
Batman vs. Superman will begin shooting in the next couple of months or so and it has been claimed that the Superman costume from Man of Steel has been tweaked for Batman vs. Superman. Costume designer Michael Wilkinson was recently talking about working on the Batman vs. Superman costumes when he admitted that he was making some small changes to the Superman costume.
It will be interesting to see whether he brings back those red pants or not but we will just have to wait and see. Batman vs. Superman sees Ben Affleck as Batman aka Bruce Wayne, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman aka Diana Prince, Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Henry Cavill as Superman aka Clark Kent. Batman vs. Superman will hit the big screen on May 6, 2016.
