Holly Robinson Peete, an actress with a long and respected career who has also in recent years moved into the co-host postion as an entertainment personality on shows such as "The Talk" recently spoke out and critiqued the recent physical fight that took place between two of the cast members of the reality show "Real Housewives of Atlanta."
In her view and that of her friend, actress Tasha Smith, the conduct of the women not only embarrassed African-American women but all women. It was one of the ultimate displays of ignorance and sent the wrong message to women about how to address differences of opinion and what to do when dealing with ignorance which most women would expect someone to walk away, not act like children and throw punches at one another.
Entertainment insiders have taken notice of how Holly Robinson Peete is willing to speak out on media issues and how she is balancing being an actress with her appearances on shows such as "instant Mom", "Blue" and "Mike and Molly" with her work as a guest/co-host on talk shows.
Her astute, insightful critique of the actions which took place on Real Housewives of Atlanta have put her back in the media spotlight as someone whose thoughts will emanate with viewers. During her time on "The Talk" there was a sense that she might have been not as direct with her thoughts as she needed to be and thus her thoughts did not 'hit home' and connect with viewers.
However, her recent comments about the embarrassing conduct of those guests on the Real Housewives of Atlanta show that she is someone who while remaining professional will not bite her tongue and thus is now once again on the radar of television executives looking for someone to be an entertainment personality on a talk show.
