There was once a time when Hollywood actor Chris Pratt was seen as the chubby co-star in most of his movies, rather than ever being seen as a leading man in an action movie. However, that has all changed now, as Chris Pratt plays the role of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord in the upcoming movie Guardians of the Galaxy and the actor has spoken about whether he is a person who always looks after his body.
Pratt was a guest on the Late Show with David Letterman, when he said, "No, I am not. That is ... For almost my entire life that has not been the case but for this movie I did have to take care of myself for a while but that's quickly going to go away. There's some airbrushing and a lot of sit-ups and sort of starving yourself knowing that you had a shirtless scene coming up."
Getting into shape for Guardians of the Galaxy certainly helped Chris Pratt to give the best performance that he possibly could but that did not stop him from being nervous about the final, finished piece. Chris says that, while he felt like they were making something special while shooting the film, there is also that worry at the back of your mind that people might not like it.
He added, "I saw it for the first time about two weeks ago and with a movie like this where two of the characters are animated and every world has at least some element of CGI, I kind of didn't know whether it was going to be good or not. I remember having a hunch we were doing something special when we shot it a year ago but I walked into the theatre pretty nervous and I'd been having all these nightmares that I was going to hate the movie but I saw it for the first time two weeks ago and really, really loved it."
Guardians of the Galaxy opens on July 31 in the UK and on August 1 in the UK.
