When it was revealed that Daniela Ruah was pregnant, many fans of the hit show NCIS: LA were worried that this would affect her role as Kensei Blye in the series. Fans were worried that she would have to be written out during the pregnancy or that the character would be made pregnant.
Fortunately though, the makers of the show were clever enough to come up with a way to keep Daniela on the show and Kensei in the thick of the action. Shane Brennan has admitted that the editors of the show have been very creative in hiding the pregnancy from the viewers.
Brennan also said that he feels that the storyline makes for great viewing, "[This] has turned into a great arc for the second half of the season — the whole mystery of what she’s doing there, who the ‘White Ghost’ is…. And it’s been fabulous to team her up with Granger."
It was recently suggested that Daniela Ruah could take some time off from the show once the baby is born, although this does seem a little unlikely. You can catch Daniela Ruah as Kensei Blye in NCIS: LA, which airs on CBS on Tuesday evenings.
