It has been revealed by one of the How I Met You Mother executive producers, Craig Thomas, how the revelation of Lily’s pregnancy will affect Ted. Ted has always been the character in the show, who is most desperate to start a family but Lily and Marshall have beat him to it.
Thomas explained, "There's an episode in the first few where Ted really wants to be part of this pregnancy. He wants to be weighing in on decisions and the best diet for Lily. He really wants to be part of it because it's not happening for him. It's sort of sweet and cute."
There has already been a lot of discussion about the upcoming seventh season of How I Met Your Mother, including Conan O’Brien’s role as an extra, Cobie Smulders and Kal Penn’s character hook up and the return of Rachel Bilson. How I Met Your Mother season seven premieres on September 19.
