Guy Ritchie has put together quite a cast for his new film 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.' Yesterday, Hugh Grant joined fellow cast members Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer on set in his role as the head of British Intelligence. The film will take place in the 1960's at the height of the Cold War, and is reported to be based on historical events.
The movie is an adaptation of a 1960's television show set at the height of the Cold War. In it, Henry Cavill's character Agent Solo teams up with Armie Hammer's Kuryakin to fight against a criminal organization known as THRUSH. The film originally listed Tom Cruise in the lead role, but he backed out to work on the next installment of his 'Mission Impossible' series.
This will be Hugh Grant's first appearance on the big screen since he starred as the Rev. Giles Horrox in the 2012 film 'Cloud Atlas,' and represents a different turn from the romantic comedies such as Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason and Two Weeks Notice that he became known for. The movie will also feature Fifth Estate actress Alicia Vikander and Italian actor Luca Calvani.
