English actor Hugh Grant has revealed how, while he has not ruled out returning for a third instalment of Bridget Jones’s Diary, the scripts that he has read so far have not been good enough. Hugh admitted that it is not even definite that Bridget Jones’s Diary 3 will get made but he did claim that himself, Renee Zellweger and Colin Firth would return if the script was good enough.
Grant explained, "I did like playing Daniel Cleaver, but there is no definite part three. None of the three of us have signed up yet. There's been a number of drafts that have had great things in them but haven't quite hit the bullseye. But they're working on it again now with yet another writer, as soon as they get to a good point we will do it, I'm sure. It's just that it does have to be significantly reinvented."
Bridget Jones’s Diary 3 has been given the temporary title of Bridget Jones’s Baby and there have been a number of rumours about the project. One rumour claims that, due to the writing delays, the movie will not start shooting until the end of this year. However, another rumour claims that the project is all but dead.
