Hollywood actor Hugh Jackman has revealed how he had to lose a lot of weight for his role in Les Misérables and he was told a secret of how to do it quickly. Hugh says that nobody should ever try doing the weight loss trick at home, as it did cause him some great discomfort.
While talking to CNN, Jackman explained, "I lost a lot of weight, but I was still in the gym because [Valjean is] known for his strength. So it’s about three hours in the gym a day and eating very boring food. … I didn’t see a carbohydrate for a long period of time.”
He added, “Don’t try this at home. I had advice from the body builder, he goes, ‘Man if you really want to lose some weight and be unrecognizable,’ he goes, ‘Don’t drink for 36 hours.’ … I had a massive headache and I was very much regretting it after about 20 hours, but [I’d] just gone too far at that point.”
Hugh Jackman can next be seen on the big screen, starring alongside Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried and Russell Crowe, in the movie Les Misérables, which has been directed by Tom Hooper and is set to be released in The US on December 25 and then in the UK on January 11.
