Is Hugh Jackman hinting at hanging up his claws for good? Having just played Wolverine in the aptly titled 'The Wolverine' and starring as one of the main characters in next summer's 'X-Men: Days of Future Past', Jackman's last outing as the Wolverine may actually be done.

Hugh Jackman was most recently seen in 'The Wolverine'
While promoting Prisoners at TIFF, Jackman spoke to MTV and said Days of Future Past might be the last time he appears as Wolverine. He explains, "It may be the last. By the way, it didn't hit me until three weeks before the end [of shooting 'X-Men: Days of Future Past], because we promoted 'The Wolverine' and I came back on set with three weeks to go, and that's when I went, 'Well, who knows? Maybe there's no more Wolverine. Maybe this is it. Who knows? Maybe.' So I really made the most of those last few weeks. I enjoyed every time I put the claws on."
He also adds that his character takes on new and different challenges in Days of Future Past, saying, "Even more, I think, than in 'X-Men 3,' where he was reluctantly becoming a member of the team, now he's owning the warrior in him. Now he's owning that Wolverine nature and everything, again, is so cataclysmic in the beginning of that movie that it's all hands on deck. He's certainly right in the middle of it."

X-Men: Days of Future Past is set to come out in 2014
X-Men: Days of Future Past comes out in May of 2014, and in addition to starring Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, also stars Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Ellen Page, Michael Fassbender, Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence, and Nicholas Hoult.
