Hasbro really must be desperate to make their toys into movies in a bid to cash in from the movie industry. It has already been reported that Hasbro are looking to make an Action Man movie, which kind of makes sense and could work but it seems they are going further than that.
It has been claimed that Hasbro are also looking to turn the classic game Hungry Hippos into a big screen movie. That is right, the game where you make hippos eat marbles is being adapted for the big screen. It seems that the people at Hasbro may be losing their minds.
However, there could be and action/horror movie here somehow, if the writers do not try to get too outside of the box like they did with Battleships. Rampaging killer hippos could work or even a crazed tribe feeding people to the hippos as a way of appeasing their God’s.
Never the less there are plans afoot for Hasbro to adapt Hungry Hippos for the big screen. As of yet it is still in the very early pre production stages and nobody has yet been brought on board for the project. There have been a lot of potential Hasbro movies thrown around in recent years with many being dropped and Hungry Hippos could be yet another one.
