Fifty Shades of Grey has become a worldwide phenomenon, with women all over the world getting involved in the smash hit novel. Since the book was such a global success there was instant talk of there being a Fifty Shades of Grey movie and that talk has become reality.
Since it was announced that Fifty Shades of Grey was being adapted for the big screen, there have been a number of rumours regarding who will be cast in the lead roles. One such person is The Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder, who has become the fans favourite for the role of Christian Grey.
Talking about the rumours, Somerhalder explained, “Oh man, there's nothing official. It's just talk.” However, Ian admits that he is getting prepared for the role just in case. He joked, “Yeah, there's a website you can go to where you can just outfit your basement as a dungeon. So, you know, I thought I'd get prepared, just in case. I think a lot of people are doing that right now!”
Ian Somerhalder can currently be seen starring alongside Paul Wesley and Nina Dobrev in The Vampire Diaries, which continues to air on The CW every Thursday evening.
