Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev star togething in the hit The CW vampire television series The Vampire Diaries and the two have been dating for quite a while now. However, there have been some rumours ciculating, that Ian and Nina are going through a bit of a rocky patch in their relationship.

Things are not helped by the fact that Somerhalder and Dobrev have not been spending much time together lately, as they are off working on solo projects. Ian has been off working for his charity The Ian Somerhalder Foundation, which aims to inform people of the need to protect the environment and animals.
Ian Somerhalder recently headed of to New Orleans, tweeting, "Headed to New Orleans to #IFSTHINKTANK w/amazing peeps. Bringing biz leaders, educators, innovators together to discuss sustainability—love it (sic)." However, Nina Dobrev was nowhere to be seen.

Add to that the fact that Ian was accompanied by Kim Klinger and Jessica Ramsey, who were said to be "enjoying a flirty, busy weekend with the sexy part-vampire part-billionaire executive," and you can begin to see where the rumours have come from.
However, there is no real evidence of this and the two are expected to be back together and as happy as ever soon enough, especially once filming for The Vampire Diaries gets back underway.
