The Vampire Diaries actor Ian Somerhalder has been asked time and time again about the chances of him appearing as Christian Grey in the movie Fifty Shades of Grey. However, MTV decided to take a different approach to their questioning of Christian Grey.

While being interviewed by MTV Ian Somerhalder was asked whether or not he believes that Christian Grey would ever volunteer with his IS Foundation. Ian was adamant that Christian would definitely get involved, as the character is always up for a challenge.
Somerhalder explained, “Of course he would volunteer for the foundation. Grey is a total sucker for challenge and opportunity. … He would somehow harness the corporate world to serve and obey the mission of the foundation … doing it with a sparkle in his eyes and that smile ‘cross his mouth.”

Ian Somerhalder set up the IS Foundation back in 2010 to promote the safety and welfare of animals. Meanwhile, the Fifty Shades of Grey movie is currently in the early stages of production and has yet to cast any of the lead roles.
