Sometimes in Hollywood things can move very fast and before you know it, your life has changed in the blink of an eye, which has certainly been the case for Australian actress Indiana Evans. A few days ago, Indiana Evans was given the news that she had landed a role in a new ABC pilot and, to her surprise, she was given just 48 hours before she was needed on the set of the series. Talk about moving fast.
As with a lot of the talented Australian stars that seem to have taken over Hollywood over the years, Indiana Evans rose to stardom in the hit Australian television series Home and Away. Since then, Indiana has gone on to appear in the remake of the Blue Lagoon, as well as playing the character Tatum Novak in Crownies and Janet King. This latest role is a big step towards Hollywood stardom for Evans but she is taking it all in her stride.
In a recent interview she said, "The whole thing is very exciting - I won't have been on something with a budget like that and I've always thought Juliette Lewis was great. It's a little intimidating when I found out who was cast! It is daunting [going to a foreign city alone] but I've done it before. To be truthful, it helps you focus. You have your hotel to yourself. You have to remember I've been working with adults since I was 12 - they were my peers and it has an effect, for sure."
Indiana Evans has landed a role in the ABC pilot for the new series Secrets and Lies, which will see her sharing the screen with Ryan Phillippe and Juliette Lewis. Secrets and Lies will centre around a man who finds the dead body of a young boy and becomes the prime suspect of the murder, which forces him to prove his innocence. It is believed that Secrets and Lies will run for 10 episodes. Congratulations Indiana Evans, let's hope this leads to bigger and better things.
